Hospital moves forward to partner with Integrated Oncology Network and Kuruvilla Oncology to establish the “Cancer Center of Putnam”

Palatka, Fla. (September 25, 2017) — Putnam Community Medical Center (“PCMC”), an HCA affiliated hospital and Integrated Oncology Network, LLC (“ION”), as well as Kuruvilla Oncology, LLC (“Dr. Kuruvilla), today announced their collaboration on the (DBA) “Cancer Center of Putnam” (Putnam Radiation Oncology, LLC and HCA).

The Cancer Center of Putnam, near the campus of PCMC located at 600 Zeagler Dr., in Palatka, has made an investment to provide the latest technology with the assurance of highly trained, caring professionals to the residents of Putnam County. The hospital serves North Central Florida with a full complement of quality healthcare services while maintaining cost-effectiveness. This affiliation adds advanced radiation oncology services to this valued community hospital. The Cancer Center of Putnam gives patients in and around Putnam County local access to leading-edge new technology including Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) / Sterotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT).

Putnam Community Medical Center is looking to execute on a positive trend to bring the forefront of cancer care technology to communities in which HCA Hospitals serve. HCA’s Cancer Care Institute, Sarah Cannon, is on the forefront of research, development and implementing individualized care in the oncological field of medicine. This collaboration provides Putnam Community Medical Center the ability to provide for continued individualized care to the cancer patients of the greater Palatka area with the collaboration of ION and the esteemed Dr. Kuruvilla.
